Two posts in one week? My god, where did I get this kind of motivation?

ALLOW ME TO BE AN INSANE MAN, and oh boy! I am excited to make a post like this! I absolutely am NOT a family person, but that doesn't mean I won't celebrate father's day!

Now, I've made a moodboard edit of the one and only, King Rhoam! I have so much I wanna say about this man omfg; so uh, let's get into it :fire:

I remember being a Zelda fan when botw dropped, crazy time to be alive; the one thing I remember the most of that time was the crazy Sidon and Link shippers, but more importantly I remember the two sided debate of King Rhoam.

I remember people HATED this guy because people constantly accused him of being a neglectful and horrible father which, after playing both botw and aoc, I do not understand those people thinking such a thing? To me, he's the BEST dad in the entire Zelda franchise. "Oh, but Metal, he was so mean to Zelda about her interests in studying other things!" But he wasn't mean to her, he was STRICT! There's a very big difference between being mean and being strict.

I'm no parent but even I know you gotta be a bit strict if you wanna keep your kid from getting themselves into danger, and that's exactly what he did! He was strict to Zelda because he wanted to protect her, and he's not dismissive of her love for technology; it was proven that he was grateful for her studies of artifacts and such thanks to AoC when her lil artifact saved his life! Honestly, AoC was the main reason I became so attached to King Rhoam's character, he's portrayed more as a father instead of a King in AoC; which is what makes it more impactful when Zelda takes charge of the armies of Hyrule in that game, it seems as if he's passing the ruler job to her and honestly? I love that, he's a great father and absolutely NO ONE can tell me otherwise <3!

Another reason why I decided to use King Rhoam for this post is because uh, admittedly he's the most fun character to play in AoC in my opinion so uh, yeah.

Bonus edit!

Besides King Rhoam, I do wanna shout out Rusl from Twilight Princess as being one of the COOLEST dads in the franchise as well, he's really awesome and tbh? I could make a whole blog around the different NPCs of Twilight Princess, but he's by far the best because his son Colin was raised well and that's amazing :fire:

Also him being an adventurer to make Hyrule more safe for Colin and the other kids of Ordon Village? HE'S THE GOAT OF DADS FR
