Brandon: *sighs* it’s not safe to run with Splatanas…

*brandon gets up as the others walk in*
Bradly: what did he do?
Marina: apparently Pearl dared him to run around splatsvile with a Splatana shouting like a hooligan
Pearl: *laughs* I still can’t believe he went through with that^^
Marina: it’s just as dangerous as running with scissors p…he could’ve gotten seriously hurt
Bradly: well I’m surprised DJ Octavio didn’t yell at us for Brandon’s little rant towards big man when Frye won the splatfeast
Brandon: I’m sure dad’s not gonna know
Bradly: well he’s gonna hear about his adopted son running around town with a Splatana
Brandon: *begins staring into space*
Pearl: hey? Brandon?
Bradly: you okay bud?
Brandon: I-I’m fine I just need to clear my head…
*he walks off feeling empty inside*
Bradly: I’m starting to get worried about him…ever since we’ve gotten news about grand feast he’s been acting all quiet

*Brandon sleeps by Octavio’s tank*
Dj Octavio: you know…it’s none of my business but…everyone’s talking of your predicament

Brandon: what will happen at the grand feast? How long will it last? Will my friends and family still be here? Will we keep the plaza after it all?

Callie: I’m worried for him…he keeps scaring himself and it’s really sad

Callie: if he keeps scaring himself like this he’ll never experience the fun that’s in store for everybody
Marie: *sighs* you’re right…I may have a idea but I’m not sure it’ll be effective
Callie: we gotta try something…Brandon has never been this secretive with his friends like this
Marie: maybe we just need to ease his concerns so we can understand what he’s feeling

Brandon: got all the color chip badges, I won a 100x battle, participated in tri color battles, got my dad’s hat in salmon run rewards
*Frye and Shiver arrive*

Shiver: You missed the announcement for the grand festival so…

Big man: ay (why do i gotta carry the splatfest booths?)

Shiver: so now that we have your attention let’s…

*Calli looks at Frye and Pearl fighting*

Calli: this isn’t helping anyone! We came to help Brandon but fighting isn’t solving anything

Calli: *sighs* I planned this because Brandon can’t keep hiding his feelings forever…he keeps this up and he’ll never be able to enjoy the grand festival with everyone

Calli: he’s scared…he’s scared about losing everything he’s known

Calli: he’s overwhelmed by so much news that he’s unable to process it all

Brandon: *sighs* i wasn’t expecting all that much news and…I kept having nightmares about everything disappearing after it all

Brandon: that cat fight says otherwise

Brandon: I’m not ready to handle all of that…I’m scared whatever I pick will tear everyone apart
Frye: you sure as heck won my team last splatfest and nothing disastrous happened
Brandon: I don’t wanna be remembered as a weapon of splatfests…I just wanted a chance of a normal life…different from my dad’s
Marie: so…it’s more than just the festival…
Calli: nothings truly set in stone yet…
