Hello AF&E,

As part of our event guidelines, the staff have always aimed to prohibit exposure to abuse and actions that may negatively impact our own members, or anyone from our community who go to participate in global events.

Recently, we have received some concerning reports regarding an upcoming event that has been listed in the calendar and promoted within our community. After investigating the various perspectives involved with this situation, we have gathered evidence and come to a conclusion.

Lovers Point Amino, which had an upcoming event next week in early February, will be prohibited from being advertised and discussed within our community. This decision comes after numerous evidence pointing towards inappropriate and abusive behavior led by the staff team of that community, silencing of victims, and suppression of the truth.

In a short summary, we received proof of inappropriate jokes and behavior, which would be considered unacceptable from anyone, much less the staff team. When these concerns were reported by LPA's members to other leaders, those members were brushed off or banned for this report. Later, the team only decided to take some form of action after the number of complaints had risen to an unavoidable manner — however, even this was only a partial solution which lacked sincerity and decisive action. This has led us to believe that this community is unsafe for our members and event participants due to, not only how the team handled the situation, but also continue to admit no wrongdoing on their part.

• Earlier this week, our staff recived a report regarding a leader making sexually harassing comments via live chat in Hindi. We verified this through videos and screen recordings. From the recordings, we noticed that this leader was not joking, but in fact, sounded utterly serious. In addition, during the call, we saw messages from some staff members telling the leader to "use their alt account" to say such things.

• The member who reported it to us had also reported it to the LPA leaders, and were later banned.

• After multiple reports were filed, the staff eventually banned this leader. However, they returned on their alt account, which the other staff were aware of, as they allowed them to "apologize" from that exact account. It is also important to note that their apology was not sincere, and lacked real accountability. They blamed their words on being drunk, and refused to say "Sorry" or "I apologize". When the public discovered the alt account, the staff team banned that second account. However, he has once again returned on another alt that is, to this day, still present in the community.

• We have received multiple reports from other members regarding abusive/harassing behavior towards some members of the event staff, including racist comments to segments and the use of the n slur by some staff. In addition, there was no apology and a refusal to admit their wrongdoing throughout all of this.

The AF&E staff have verified these incidents with proof and investigated ourselves.

We would like to remind you that members are not forbidden from participating. This blacklist is for our community, and is simply to not allow hateful and inappropriate behavior to manifest in AF&E. Their event is still verified, and it is your decision to participate or not.

Do not send hate towards others, event or not. Do not take this notice as reason to harass the community.

From this point onward, any posts or other content made regarding Lovers Point or its event will be disabled on sight.
